  • Meet Montsma Momma
At age sixteen, I began my fight with Crohn's disease. No girl expects to suddenly find herself battling a chronic, life-long disease but if there is anything I've learned through this journey, it's that attitude is everything. I can't change the hand I've been dealt in this life but I can daily choose my response to it.

I am thankful for doctors and hospitals and medications and nutritional supplements and high quality food. I'm surrounded by an amazing team of GI specialists in a wonderful clinic. Every six weeks, I go in for a few hours of Remicade IV infusions and am thankful for all the nurses there. I have awesome insurance coverage at the moment and it is a blessing beyond words.

Also, I am thankful for Isagenix. This company, with it's high quality food and supplements, has changed my life over the course of the past several months. I am the healthiest I've been since age sixteen. Not only is my Crohn's astronomically better, but the side effects from the medications and treatments are minimal as a result, I am more fit and active than I've ever been, and I've found a whole new circle of passionate friends. In addition, I'm able to fight off the countless bugs that surround me throughout the winter months, something that should be impossible with my condition and treatments. God is good and I'm so thankful He brough these products into my life.

Mostly, I'm thankful for Jesus and my family & friends. Without them, I wouldn't have survived the journey. There have been some dark, dark times, with numerous hospitalizations and days, nights, & weeks of agony. (More info on these times can be found here.) But His strength is made perfect in my weakness and I can truly do all things through His strength.

And please, if you are fighting any kind of health challenge, please contact me. I would love to chat with you.
